README FOR: SRVCCBas.zip and the archived contents.

WARNING!!! Although I am generally using a route standard naming for .ace .s and .sd file. I am Not responsable if you accidently overwrite an existing .ace, .s, or .sd file and screw up your route. If in doubt, back up your textures and shapes file before installing. Other shapes using the SRV_ prefix from my submissions may share the same ace textures and will not be affected if they are overwritten.

Contents: Kit to create the old Cape Cod Canel Bascule Bridge which crosses the cape Cod Canel before being replaced by the newer lift span. You can also use this kit to place old style bascule bridges across canels, channels, or other routes using any of the four single or double track in newly painted black or neglected rust. Approach wood viaducts and end piers are included. TSModeler parts included.

Note, you will need texture files from SRV_CTex.zip, SRVblack.zip, and SRVRusty.zip as only one custom texture is provided in this download.

to install:
1: unzip to a temp folder with "use folder names" on.

2: go to folder where you unziped the files to and copy and paste the .s and .sd files from the Shapes folder to the Shapes folder of the route you wish to use them in.

3: copy the CapeCodBridgeMisc.ace from the texture folder to the texture folder of your route. For TSModeler and other 3-d modeling program, copy CapeCodBridgeMisc.bmp and place it in a folder where your 3-d program can find it.

You need the following textures from the SRVRusty.zip;
	SRV_Bridges4.ace
	SRV_Bridge4a.ace

Also, the following common textures from the SRV_CTex.zip
	Srv_RealTinSiding.ace
	SRV_ConcretePier.ace
	SRV_WoodBridge.ace
	SRV_Terrain.ace
SRV_StonePier.ace if you plan to use the stone end pier

4: BACKUP the .REF file for the route (normaly ROUTE-NAME.ref EG: marias.ref) to a safe place.

5: go to folder where you unziped the files to and open "Bascule.ref" with WORDPAD and copy and paste ALL THE TEXT from Bascule.ref to the .ref file of the route REMEMBER TO SAVE IT AS "UNICODE TEXT".

The parts will be found in the "Bridge" class.

Note; To assemble the wood viaduct for the twin track, position each single viaduct and line up the track to the track on the bridge. Select both object using Ctrl left mouse click. If you need to rotate the viaduct to place the double piling section closest to the bridge, the best way to do this is with both selected. Use Ctrl C to copy both viaduct sections at once. Move to the other end and place in position. By keeping both sections selected, it will be easier to handle twin viaducts this way.
